Kent Benson who was the first overall pick in 1980 was playing in his first NBA game. He was matched up against the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabber. About two minutes into this matchup & Benson's first career game, Kareem caught an elbow to the stomach from Benson. Kareem is seen hunched over in pain after catching the elbow. In response to this Kareem walks over and punches Kent Benson directly in the mouth! Kent then falls to the ground from the force of the punch. Check out the video below 😳
